Make playing groups (one scoring link per group)

A group is the players in one cart or tee time. Each group gets one shared scoring link, so one person keeps score for everyone in it.

Organizer

Groups are optional. Without them every player gets a personal scoring link. With them, one link per group means fewer links to send and one scorer per group.

Make groups

  1. Open Players & groups (or Groups in team games).
  2. The card asks Who’s in Group 1? Tap names. A group saves itself at four.
  3. For a smaller group, tap Just these N.
  4. Keep going until Everyone is in a group.
  • Groups are per round. Use the Round chips to switch, and Same groups as Round N to copy the last round’s groups.
  • In team games partners move together, and a group holds up to four players.
  • You can tap a fifth player into a group of four. Five is the most a group can hold.
  • In Shamble and 2 Best Balls of 4 each team plays as its own group, so there’s no Groups card.

Change a group

Tap a name to pick it up, then tap a name in another group to swap them, tap a group to move them there, or tap Take out of group. Groups always number 1, 2, 3 with no gaps. When a group empties, the ones after it move down.

Good to knowJoining a group replaces a player’s personal link with the group’s link, so send group links once groups are set. Moving players in a group that has started scoring asks first, and scores already entered stay with each player.
