Privacy Policy

LeaderboardLive is built for golf trips, not data collection. This policy explains what we collect, why, and how we protect it.

1. What We Collect

Account information: Your name and email address when you sign up.

Sign in with Google: If you sign in with Google, Google shares your name, email address and profile picture with us. We use them only to create your account, sign you in and show your name in the app. We don't ask for access to anything else in your Google account, and we never sell this data, use it for advertising, or share it with anyone except the services listed below that run LeaderboardLive. Our use of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

Tournament data: The tournaments, players, matches, and scores you create while using the service.

Payment information: Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card details, only a record that a payment was made.

Usage data: Basic analytics like page views and session data to help us improve the product.

How you found us: When you first visit, we note the site that sent you (for example Google or Instagram), any campaign tags in the link, and the first page you saw. If you create an account, we save this with it, along with your answer if you tell us how you heard about LeaderboardLive. Visitors in the UK and EU are only included after accepting analytics on our cookie banner.

Feature usage: We count which parts of a leaderboard get used (for example opening a board, or tapping Scorecards or Stats) against the tournament. These counts contain no names, email addresses, IP addresses or cookies, and can't identify you.

2. What We Don't Collect

• We don't sell your data to anyone, ever
• We don't show ads in LeaderboardLive, and leaderboards and scoring pages carry no ad tracking
• Players who use the leaderboard without an account are not tracked or identified

3. How We Use Your Data

• To provide and improve the LeaderboardLive service
• To understand which channels bring people to LeaderboardLive and which features they use, so we know what to improve
• To send transactional emails (account confirmation, password reset, receipts)
• To send product news and tips, only if you opt in, with an unsubscribe link in every email
• To respond to support requests
• To process payments via Stripe

4. Data Storage

Your data is stored securely on Supabase (PostgreSQL), hosted on AWS infrastructure. All connections are encrypted via TLS. We retain your data for as long as your account is active.

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to run LeaderboardLive:

• Supabase: database and authentication
• Stripe: payment processing
• Vercel: hosting and deployment
• Google: Sign in with Google, if you choose it
• Resend: sending transactional emails such as receipts
• Klaviyo: marketing emails, only if you opt in
• Google Analytics: anonymous usage analytics
• Meta: measuring our ads, through the Meta Pixel on our marketing pages, only if you accept cookies. If you type your email into a form on those pages (such as the newsletter sign-up), the pixel may send Meta a scrambled (hashed) copy so it can match the visit to an ad. With the same consent, our server tells Meta when you join the newsletter, create an account, create an event or make a purchase, with a hashed copy of your email, so we can see which ads work. Never any scores, players or event details.

Each of these services has their own privacy policy governing how they handle data.

6. Your Rights

You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by emailing support@leaderboardlive.io. We'll take care of it within 7 days.

7. Cookies

We use a session cookie to keep you logged in. With your consent we also use analytics cookies and the Meta Pixel on our marketing pages. See our Cookie Policy for details.

8. Changes

If we make material changes to this policy, we'll notify you by email or by posting a notice on the site.
