Add rounds, courses, tees and holes

Each round has a course, a tee, its holes (18, one nine, or one six of a 6-6-6), and (for team and Ryder Cup events) its own game. Search the course by name and the pars and stroke indexes come with it.

Organizer

Add a round

  1. In Manage open Rounds (the add form opens on its own for a new event), or tap + Add another round.
  2. Start typing a course or club name in Course, then tap the right result.
  3. Pick the Tee box. The first tee is picked for you.
  4. Ryder Cup: pick the Match format (2-Man Best Ball, Scramble, Alternate Shot or Singles) and, on net cups, Scoring: Net (handicaps) or Gross (straight up).
  5. Team best-ball events: pick the round’s Format (Scramble, 2-Man Best Ball, Shamble or 2 Best Balls of 4).
  6. Choose Holes: 18 holes, Front 9, Back 9, or one six of a 6-6-6: Holes 1–6, Holes 7–12 or Holes 13–18.
  7. Tap Add Round 1 (or Add Round 2, and so on).

Pars, stroke indexes and tee ratings come from the course database, so there’s nothing to type in. On a nine-hole round players play off half their handicap and the stroke indexes are re-ranked 1–9.

A 6-6-6

A 6-6-6 is three rounds on the same course: one set to Holes 1–6, one to Holes 7–12 and one to Holes 13–18, each with its own game and matches. Players keep their full handicap on every six, and a stroke falls on a hole in the six only where they would get one over 18 holes, so the three sixes add up to their 18-hole strokes. See the 6-6-6 guide.

TipCan’t find your course? Try the club name rather than the course name.

Change a round

  • Tap a round to change its format, scoring or holes. Each change saves on tap.
  • To change a course or tee, or to remove a round, use Change a course or tee, or remove a round at the bottom of the card.
  • Drag the ≡ handle to put rounds in a different order. They renumber 1, 2, 3, and their groups, links and scores move with them. (Not on best-ball, shamble or scramble team events, where Round 1 sets the game.)

What locks once scoring starts

  • A round with any score keeps its holes: Scoring has started, so the holes stay as they are.
  • A started round stays in its place, and other rounds can’t be dragged past it.
  • Changing a Ryder Cup round’s match format clears that round’s matches (and their scores) so you can pair it again. You’re asked first.
  • Changing a team round’s game keeps every score and counts them under the new game. If the teams don’t fit the new game, they’re cleared after you confirm.

Mixing games across rounds

Team events can play a different game each round, as long as the team sizes fit: 2-Man Best Ball is teams of 2, Shamble and Scramble 2 to 4, 2 Best Balls of 4 is teams of 4. A game that doesn’t fit the other rounds is greyed out with the reason.

Good to knowRounds 1 and 2 are always free. In an event with three or more rounds, Round 3 onward takes scores once the event is unlocked. See Pricing.
